Marlui opened her eyes, finding it was night. She rose out of the bed, finding herself well enough dry, and snuck to the door. There was no one in the tavern, she found to her luck, and thus she went out the Tavern's main door, and onto the street. She looked back and forth, and started to walk calmly through the streets, feeling just a bit claustriphobic. There was really no place to see the sea.
She did, however, find a great elegant house near the edge of town. She spotted a man at the window. She blearily realized it was the blue-coated man from before. She watched as he went back inside, the windows closing, the candle glow extinguishing. She smirked, and idea springing to mind.
After a few moments, she had gotten to the window, and pulled it open with help from a stolen silver butterknife, looking in. The place was dark, and yet so very inviting. She crawled inside, and upon seeing no one, started looking around. Her hands itched, and she took what she saw first - a three-prong candleabra, shoving it in the large coat pocket. She looked around, and crossed through a hallway, and saw an open room. She leaned against the wall, in the shadow, as a maid came out, crossing right in front of the theif, and through the house, not even seeing Marlui. The girl creeped into the room, finding a space filled with wardrobes. She blinked, and turned to go out, but paused, an evil grin on her face. She turned back to the wardrobes, flinging them open, taking out a needle and thread from her coat.
The next morning, Marlui conviently was seen leaning against the post out in the front of the huge manor. She waiting, looking at her nails.
Moments later, a scream of rage sounded from the house. She smiled, pleased, and turned, walking back into town.
